What Concerns Does the PRP Facial Address?

A Natural Solution for Total Skin Rejuvenation

The PRP Facial is a revolutionary regenerative treatment. It begins by drawing a small amount of your own blood, which is then spun in a centrifuge to isolate the Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP). This "liquid gold" is packed with growth factors that, when applied to the skin via microneedling, trigger a powerful healing and regeneration response.

  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Acne scars and surgical scars
  • Dull, tired-looking skin
  • Uneven skin tone and texture
  • Enlarged pores

The best part? It’s a completely natural process that uses your body’s own healing power to create beautiful, long-lasting results.

What to Expect During Your PRP Facial Therapy

Personalized, Professional, and Effective

Your PRP Facial appointment at Advanced Aesthetics is designed to be comfortable and results-driven.

  1. Before Treatment

A small sample of blood is drawn from your arm, similar to a routine blood test.

  2. During Treatment

While your PRP is being prepared, your face is numbed with a topical cream. The PRP is then applied to your skin and a microneedling device is used to create micro-channels, allowing the growth factors to penetrate deeply.

  3. After Treatment

Your skin will appear red, similar to a sunburn, for 24-48 hours. You will be given specific aftercare instructions.

  4. When Will I See Results?

You'll notice an initial glow within a few days, but the most significant results appear after 2-3 weeks as collagen production ramps up. Improvements can continue for up to six months.

  5. Additional Benefits

    • Improves skin firmness and elasticity
    • Reduces the appearance of dark under-eye circles
    • Promotes a brighter, more even complexion
    • Minimizes the appearance of sun damage
    • Enhances the overall health of your skin
    • Safe for all skin types

Combining the PRP Facial with Other Treatments

Maximize Your Results

PRP is one of the most versatile additions to any treatment plan. Because it uses your own growth factors to stimulate repair and renewal, it enhances nearly every procedure it's paired with. Popular combinations include:

  • Collagen Induction TherapyApply PRP immediately after microneedling to flood the skin's microchannels with growth factors, significantly accelerating collagen production and improving overall results.
  • Morpheus8Pair PRP with RF microneedling to support faster recovery and enhance the skin-tightening and collagen-stimulating effects of the treatment.
  • Fotona Laser TreatmentsUse PRP alongside laser resurfacing to support healing and improve the skin's response to treatment.
  • Hair Restoration (PRP)Extend the benefits of your PRP session to the scalp, addressing both facial skin quality and hair thinning in a single visit.

During your consultation, we'll identify the best way to incorporate PRP into your existing or planned treatments, so every session works harder for you.

Pre-Care & Aftercare

Simple Steps for Best Results

Taking care of your skin after your PRP Facial is straightforward. Just follow these guidelines to optimize healing and results:

What to expect

  • Mild redness, warmth, or a sunburn-like sensation lasting 12 to 72 hours.
  • Skin may feel tight, dry, sensitive, or slightly swollen.
  • Mild flaking or shedding may begin after 2 to 4 days and typically resolves within a week.
  • If PRP (platelet-rich plasma) was used (PRP Facial), you may have some yellowish or serum-like residue. This is normal and beneficial.

Do

  • Leave the skin undisturbed for the first 6 to 12 hours (if PRP or growth serum was applied, allow it to absorb fully).
  • Cleanse with lukewarm water and a gentle cleanser after 12 to 24 hours (depending on your provider's recommendation).
  • Apply a post-treatment serum or healing moisturizer provided or recommended by your provider (e.g., hyaluronic acid, stem cell serums).
  • Moisturize frequently to prevent dryness and support healing.
  • Use broad-spectrum SPF 30+ daily beginning the day after treatment, even if you're indoors.
  • Sleep on a clean pillowcase and avoid direct contact with pets or unclean surfaces.
  • Drink plenty of water and eat a nutrient-rich diet to support your skin from the inside out.

Avoid

  • Do not touch or rub the treated area unnecessarily.
  • Avoid makeup, sunscreen, or any topical products for the first 24 hours, unless approved by your provider.
  • Do not use active ingredients such as retinoids, AHAs, BHAs, salicylic acid, or benzoyl peroxide for 5 to 7 days.
  • Avoid direct sun exposure and tanning beds for at least 7 to 10 days.
  • No hot showers, saunas, swimming, or intense workouts for 24 to 48 hours post-treatment.
  • Do not pick, peel, or exfoliate flaking or dry skin manually.

Aftercare by treatment

PRP Facial (microneedling + PRP)

leave PRP on the skin for at least 6 to 12 hours post-treatment before rinsing gently with lukewarm water. Some redness or bronzing may occur, and peeling can begin around day 3 to 5. Results may continue to improve over several weeks as collagen builds.

When to contact us: excessive swelling, bleeding, pain, or signs of infection (pus, intense redness, or heat); a rash or allergic reaction; any unexpected or concerning symptoms.

Frequently Asked Questions

Your PRP Facial Questions, Answered

Does the PRP Facial hurt?

A topical numbing cream is applied beforehand to minimize discomfort. Most patients report feeling only a slight vibration from the microneedling device.

How many treatments will I need?

For best results, we typically recommend a series of 3 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart.

Is it safe?

Yes, because it uses your own blood, there is no risk of allergic reaction or rejection.

What is the difference between a PRP Facial and PRP injections?

A PRP Facial uses microneedling to apply PRP to the surface of the skin. PRP can also be injected deeper into the skin, often combined with a hyaluronic acid filler.

How long does the procedure take?

The entire appointment, including numbing and PRP preparation, takes about 60-90 minutes.

Can I wear makeup after the treatment?

We recommend waiting at least 24 hours before applying makeup to allow your skin to breathe and heal.

Pricing

The cost of a PRP Facial varies. Packages of 3 sessions are available for both PRP and PRFM facials. We will provide a detailed quote during your consultation. Payment plans are available.
